About Dan Allen, Executive Director for Real Estate Planning and Strategy Dan Allen is the Executive Director of Real Estate Planning and Strategy at UT Austin. He has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and project management in the real estate development field. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer for a number of companies, including First National Assets, HealthCare Facilities Development Corporation, and Circuit of the Americas, where he guided the company through design, construction, and two inaugural seasons for the specialty entertainment venue, which annually hosts Formula 1 and other high-profile events. Dan has an undergraduate degree in accounting and an MBA in finance and management from The University of Texas at Austin.
